Rupali Brown is a powerhouse mama living and teaching her beloved yoga on California’s Lost Coast. She was born and raised in Mumbai, India, a city of remarkable contrasts; from birth she was immersed in a culture that is simultaneously modern and forward-looking, while remaining deeply rooted in the ancient culture and traditions of India. She spent several years working in a 3D Animation Studio, an experience that, while stimulating mentally, left her feeling incomplete and physically unhealthy.

The yearning for something deeper and more fulfilling led her to yoga. As life goes, this transformation and opening to a new path utterly changed her life. She met the love of her life in a yoga ashram in India, and together they returned to the U.S. After the birth of their son, they moved back to the land on the pristine lost coast of northern California, to follow their dream of living close to nature and to raise their child in a loving community.

She continues to travel and study many styles of Yoga and brings a dynamic blend of all her training and practice to her classes. She holds a 500 hour Advanced Teacher Training certification from the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center, and has also studied Mysore-style Ashtanga, and Iyengar Yoga, among other influences.  Each class is a one of a kind experience and is informed by the conviction that all bodies are unique and there is no one way a pose should be practiced. She inspires her students with a blend of challenging asanas and a playful approach, while at the same time encouraging a meditative awareness they can carry with them off their mats, and into their lives.
